WWW and Interactive Teaching Environments

One of the main complaints about the Web as a teaching tool is its lack of support for Human-Computer-Human Interaction. As it is now, e-mail and bulletin-boards are the only viable alternatives. Nevertheless some alternatives are emerging, and special attention is dedicated to integrating Interactive Teaching Environment, such as MOOs and MUDs and the Web. Bellow, we describe some of the ideas we have come across.
