Both, the opening and the closing plenaries had a W3C speaker, involved with the WWW research team and another speaker who was involved with the business side of the Web, such as Microsoft, SpyGlass, NetScape, Sun MicroSystems and IBM. Those sessions were as one would expect, very business oriented, issues discussed were: on-line payment, networks expansion, multi-media and one carrier, telecommunication companies pricing policies, new business models for a new business medium etc.
