A Curious Departure
Time travel is very odd, or maybe it's just me. You can tell you're
in the future because it looks like the 1970s. People often remark
on how prophetic all those science fiction TV writers were about what
the future looks like, but those people have totally the wrong end of
the stick. You see, the future is being invented by people who learned
what to make it look like from 1970s TV science fiction.
So there. The future is made of cardboard. The future wobbles. The
future has no budget. Brace yourselves: they'll be shaking the
camera in a minute.
