Edinburgh's very own enclave of Stalinist housing, Dumbiedykes, is
situated right on the edge of
Holyrood Park. These flats are probably
some of Edinburgh's most sought-after, and they'll soon be just over the
road from Edinburgh's most overpriced. Very handy for the Parliament, as
Council housing goes.
Over the years, a number of idiots have called for the dykes to be flattened: can't have Council tenants just round the corner from the Queen! Nonetheless, they persist, and are even repainted from time to time.
