Comments This was a sample bottle, sent to The Gillies Club by Mr.George S.Grant of Glenfarclas distillery. It is probably from the first ever distillation of this distillery. Members' comments; "Much improved with water which brings out the malt. Spoilt by oiliness. Will improve, I think", "Exceptional and distinct", "Powerful, after-dinner drink, with a sweeter finish after adding water", "An interesting, young, sprightly, blending malt", "A good, well balanced malt which needs more maturing", "Only suitable for blending", "Don't buy the cask!", "Without many redeeming qualities, but I like it", "Big and oily, but even with the hessian/carpet malt it gives an indication of good future things. This appears to be a bourbon cask".
