| Comments | Two of these bottles were presented to the members of The Gillies Club on their tour of the distilleries by Col. Hector McKenzie, who was, at that time, head of the family-run Dalmore Distillery. The hospitality extended to the members of The Gillies Club by Col.McKenzie will NEVER be forgotten.. The malt was not officially tasted by the Club, but the general impact of this 50 year old malt was that of WOOD! It's nose was, as one member put it "like sticking your head inside a newly made wooden cupboard". |
