Craigellachie

57.29 ° N 3.12 ° W
Where the Fiddich meets the Spey, and the district's main roads cross, between Dufftown, Aberlour and Rothes, the village of Craigellachie has a bridge designed by the great Scottish engineer Thomas Telford, a cooperage and two distilleries.

Craigellachie is pronounced "Crail-ella-ki". The last "i" is short. Hear the name in AU or WAV format.

The A941 runs through here. Follow it north to Rothes or south to Dufftown. Alternatively take the A95 west to Keith.
