I judged that mailing everybody and asking them to
suddently start posting to a newsgroup might not
have generated as much momentum as setting up a
medium specifically for this topic. I assumed that most of
us have a Netscape window open most of the time, and that
it is just as easy to put the URL for this site in your
bookmark list and reload it occasionally. Probably the same
number of mouse clicks...

It also provides a convenient means of automatically
collating responses.

Also, if you really want, you can put HTML into your
respons (like this). OK, the usefulness
of that may be limited, and perhaps I'm simply trying
to justify using a neat Perl script...Oh well.
