Research interests

My main interest lies in exploiting Java and asynchronous multi-threaded architectures in the design of high-performance, low-power embedded systems.

I am also interested in skeleton-based parallel programming. My thesis work focused on the Bird-Meertens Formalism (BMF) as a model of parallel computation, with particular emphasis on cost analysis of programs expressed in BMF style. Other models of parallel computation are also of interest.

My papers can be found here.

Teaching Duties

I teach the CS4 module on "Embedded Software"

Responsibilities

Undergraduate Director of Studies

Other Information

My Ph.D is titled "A Cost Analysis for a Higer-order Parallel Programming Model" and you can find a copy of it here.
