Aims of CS3

• To support students' learning of a range of material across the spectrum of Computer Science and Software Engineering, helping all students to acquire a balance of skills and knowledge appropriate to their chosen discipline whilst providing a measure of choice that allows students to begin to specialise in areas of interest to them.
• To give students experience of working on larger products than they experience in CS1 or CS2, individually and/or in groups.
• To expose students to the ideas of entrepreneurship and give them the chance to think about how Computer Science and Software Engineering fit into the commercial world.
