Sundry Documentation

This is a list of links to documentation on some of the bits and pieces I'm currently working on most of it is department specific and it may not be completely up to date. Anything I've written here has been done using docbook and the standard set of styles/tools which come with redhat. Sundry other tools have been used to convert troff and info to html.

Conserver
Conserver is a client server application which allows you to access multiple serial consoles over a network. In support of which we have.
  1. A syssies guide to console and conserver, everything you don't really want to know about (ssh)console and using it within the department. (sgml, html and pdf)
  2. A guide to installing and configuring a console server, specifically for the department but might be useful to other people.(not complete) (sgml, html and pdf)
PXE based installs
Some notes on setting booting PXE (medialess) PC's within the division. ((sgml, html and pdf)
Gathering statistics via dhcp
The long awaited notes on getting data from snmp and plotting pretty graphs, please note that this stuff is fairly kludgy and I probably have to write objects to handle NRG and do something much cleverer with the script that throws back the data from /proc. If anyone else uses this stuff could they let me know the details and I'll fold it in. We probably should get someone that knows something about ASN.1 to write us a mib file. ((sgml, html and pdf)
