Warehousing and Maturation
Casks are stored in secure warehouses while the maturation process takes place. During this time a complex chemical process
occurs, involving the immature whisky, the wood of the barrels, the residues left in the barrels from their last use
and the air surrounding them. This turns the clear spirit from the still into whisky.
