The distillery is on the eastern edge of Speyside, not far from Huntly, at
Kennethmont between the river Bogie, the Clashindarroch Forest and the
foothills of the Grampian mountains. Teacher's built this handsome distillery
in 1898. Despite extensive expansions and modernisations in the 1950s and
1970s, it has preserved its steam engine and uses coal-fired stills.
