Student Exchange Programmes

Have you got what it takes to succeed in Europe? Yes, oui, ja?

The School of Computer Science encourages students to consider the possibility of spending one year of their undergraduate degree course (typically the third) at a university in another country.

The University of Edinburgh is involved in a number of international exchange schemes, details of which can be found on the International Office Web pages (go to "Student Exchange Programmes").

The School is currently applying to the Erasmus/Socrates programme for funding to enable one student per year from Edinburgh and one student from the Johannes Kepler University at Linz in Austria to spend a year in each other's home university. The first year in which this will happen is expected be 2001.

The Johannes Kepler University web pages can be found here. Pages specific to computer science at JKU, including a course guide in English, can be found here To register interest in an exchange year at JKU contact rni@dcs
