Computer Conferencing Systems

During the last ten years, there has been a rapid growth in the number of education and training organisations using asynchronous computer conferencing technology for various forms of online education. This growth has been associated with increased access to personal computers and modems, as well as with the development of national and international academic networks, which can provide low cost access to computer conferencing systems.
