Using the MUD as a HTTP server

There is certain information that can be provided from the MUD to people on the outside: the most obvious is information about who is connected. A simple way is to write a gateway on an existing server that connects to the MUD and extracts the appropriate information. A planned release of the MOO server includes a facility to allow the MOO to act directly as a HTTP server, which will make providing information like this much easier.
