OVERVIEW

The Forum is an informal 2-day meeting where researchers in the area of asynchronous design in the UK (and particularly students) can meet to present and discuss ideas. The event is optimised for UK participants though others are welcome to attend.

SUBMISSIONS

Extended abstracts of not more than 4 pages must be submitted to Prof. Steve Furber by 4th June. Abstracts must be sent in either postscript (which must be viewable with ghostview) or pdf.

LOCATION

The 10th Forum is being organised by the Institute for Computing Systems Architecture with accommodation at Pollock Halls. Talks will be held in the James Clerk Maxwell Building (Room 2510) in the King's Buildings campus

REGISTRATION

Please register on-line. The registration fee of STG 28.00 will cover coffee/tea and biscuits, the dinner on the evening of 2nd July, and a copy of the Workshop Proceedings. Payments may be made in advance by sending a cheque (made payable to "University of Edinburgh") to: DK Arvind, Institute for Computing Systems Architecture, Division of Informatics, James Clerk Maxwell Building, King's Buildings, Mayfield Road, Edinburgh EH9 3JZ, Scotland.

ACCOMMODATION

Two levels of accommodation will be available at Pollock Halls: single room with shared bathroom facilities (20 rooms) available at STG 27.00 for the night, or single room with ensuite bathroom factilities (10 rooms) available at STG 42.00 for the night. Both prices include a full Scottish breakfast.

Advance payment is not required - it is preferred that payment is made on arrival. The following cards will be accepted: Switch, Visa, Mastercard, Solo or Visa Delta (American Express is not accepted). Cheques should be made payable to "UOE Accommodation Ltd". NOTE THAT DELEGATES WILL BE INVOICED FOR THEIR ACCOMMODATION IF THEY CANCEL WITHOUT GIVING 7 DAYS NOTICE.

Delegates should report to the Reception Centre upon arrival. This is staffed 24 hours per day, so they may arrive at any time. However, any arrivals between 11pm and 7am should be notified in advance, if possible. Payments can only be made between 7am and 10pm. Access to rooms is available from 2pm onwards, anyone arriving before this time may store their luggage until the room is available.
