Supervisor of final year undergraduate projects.

In particular, ``A calculator for exact real arithmetic'' by David Plume (1997-8), and ``The Golden-ratio notation for real numbers'' (David McGaw, 1998-9), both at Edinburgh University. David McGaw's project made fim a finalist for the British Computer Society Best Student of the Year Award in 1999
