The distillery, in the valley of the Lossie, south of Elgin, was built in
1876, reconstructed 20 years later and extended in 1962. Its memorabilia
includes a horse-drawn fire-engine: whisky is so combustible that every
distillery has had a fire at some time. Next door is the
Mannochmore distillery.
