1.4.1 About licenses
Harlequin issues one license for each copy of MLWorks that you are allowed to run simultaneously at your site. Strictly, this means one license per MLWorks process, so you will, for instance, need two licenses if you want to run the interactive environment (mlworks and mlworks-basis) at the same time as running the compiler in batch mode (mlbatch).
As a general rule, the MLWorks processes may be run on any machines on that site. This differs from the stand-alone keycode license system in two ways:
- Under the stand-alone system, MLWorks processes can be run only on licensed machines.
- Under the stand-alone system, any number of processes can run on each licensed machine, the machine's resources permitting.
