Duration of the course

Course duration is an important variable in our choice for two reasons, the first is concerned with student motivation and the second with a constraint in our research. As far as motivation is concerned, one can observe that the number of drop outs in distance education programmes is much larger than in traditional face-to-face. One of the reasons for this is the lack of motivation, which can be attributed to absence of social and educational interaction, and to the fact that one does not necessarily get away from one's responsibility and concentrate on the task in question []. The second is the constraint imposed on our work due to the fact that we have a limited amount of time to conduct this research.
