There are two course assignments associated with the
Computer Architecture module. These must be completed and
written up according to the deadlines given in table 1.
The aim of each assignment is to pose a set of architecture
related questions which you are asked to answer and
then write up in a short report.
The reports should be submitted to your tutor.

Your write-up for each part of the assignment will be
marked and returned to you. Parts I and II carry weightings
of 0.3 and 0.7 respectively.
In many cases there will no ``right answer'' to the
design problem being posed, and this is taken into account
in the marking scheme we use. Good marks will be obtained
for reasonable conclusions that have been drawn from
valid data. Thus, it is the process by which you
draw your conclusions rather than the exact conclusions
themselves which contribute most heavily in the assessment.
A terse write-up without justification will not obtain
high marks, even if it is otherwise correct.
